SWIM & DIVE SEASON CONCLUDES @ STATE MEET

Swim and Dive Chargers ended their season with a 13th place finish for the boys and a 15th place finish for the girls at the State Meet, held in Stuart last Saturday.
Individually, Josh C. led the way with a 3rd place finish in the 100 Breast and a 5th place finish in the 50 Free. Mark M. was 15th in the 200 IM and Felix S. was 16th in the 100 Back. All three contributed on the 4th place finishing 200 Medley Relay along with Jake A. The three were also part of the 10th place 400 Free Relay along with Corey C.
The girls team was led by Meredith L. with a 15th place finish in the 50 Free and 14th in the 100 Free. She was also part of the 200 Medley Relay, along with Athina Z., Courtney C. and Taylor E. that finished 10th and the 400 Free Relay (Athina Z., Hannah B. and Courtney C.) that finished 9th.
We're incredibly proud of all of these swimmers for being a part of a successful season!

To cap off this very successful season, the Swim and Dive banquet was held in the rec gym at school last Sunday. Letters and service bars, Ironman awards, attendance awards, and awards recognizing the team as Bay Conference Champions, City Champions, District Champions, Regional Runners-Up (boys) and Regional 3rd Place (girls) were presented.
Plaques for school records were awarded to Meredith L. (50 and 100 Free), Courtney C. (100 Breast), Girls 200 Medley Relay (Athina Z., Courtney C., Taylor E. and Meredith L.) and Girls 400 Free Relay (Meredith L., Hannah B., Athina Z. and Courtney C.) and Josh C. (100 Breast). Taylor E. (50 and 100 Fly) and Josesph B. (50 and 100 Free) both broke middle division records.
Finishing up the evening were the following awards:
