Sailing Chargers September Update

Congratulations to the Shorecrest Sailing Team! The Chargers sailed in a fleet of 46 Lasers from the SAISA district in the 2019 SAISA Cressy Singlehanded Qualifier. They sailed 15 races in 15-25 knots and rain, clouds, and sunshine. Out of 25 schools in the regatta, Shorecrest was the only school to have 3 finishers in the top 10 (Guthrie Braun '22 4th place, Heather Kerns '20 9th place and Ethan Danielson '22 10th place), plus the top 2 female finishers (Heather Kerns '20 9th place and Heidi Hicks '21 13th place)!
The following week the Chargers rigged at South Points #1 in Hollywood, FL. Varsity slipped to 8th at the finish while JV climbed to 3rd. Lots of good racing in both fleets.
The next regatta is October 19th in Jensen Beach.
