Football Chargers beat Ocala Christian

On October 29, the Shorecrest Varsity Football Chargers played Ocala Christian and won 40-32!

The Chargers were tenacious throughout the game and displayed resilience after trailing 12-0 at the end of the first quarter, eventually outscoring their opponent 40-20 the remainder of the game. The persistence and focus of the team was the difference down the stretch. The coaching staff is proud of the team for staying the course and remaining disciplined throughout the contest.     

Highlights of the game included:

• A 70 yard touchdown pass to James Floto '23 from Drew Bunn '23.
• A 50 yard reception from Drew Bunn '23 to Auston Shore '23 to setup the go-ahead touchdown run by Aneko Jackson '23.
• A 95 yard interception return by Henry Pickard '22 that prevented Ocala from extending their lead to 12 points late in the third quarter.
