Dinner Time!

After spending a few days learning about working with decimals, students in Mr. Brelsford's 6th grade honors math class spent the day on Wednesday planning an imaginary dinner. Using the online weekly ads from Publix, Winn Dixie and Fresh Market on their iPads, students worked in pairs to calculate the total cost of their dinner for just the two of them, then for the entire 19 person class, and finally for the entire 80 person sixth grade (with tax). They all left the room very hungry.
