MS Football shuts out Indian Rocks Christian

Chargers vs Indian Rocks Christian: 48-0
Trey W. was outstanding at quarterback, going 10 for 14 with 177 yards passing and 2 TDs. Jake W. 30 yard touchdown pass from Trey W. to start the 2nd quarter. Trey M. had 2 long touchdown runs, as did Trey W. Cyrus A. had 75 receiving yards and Brendan W. had a nice 30-yard reception.
The defense was outstanding with everyone getting in on the action! Cody B. had a fumble recovery, Jake W. had an interception and 2 fumble recoveries. Luca D. played QB in the 2nd half and scored his first touchdown as a Charger!
The offensive line continued to play as a unit, giving Trey W. and the receiving corps time to connect. Cody B., Derek B., Haedon S., Tim Z. and Zach Z. anchored the offensive line and did a great job. Defensively, Jackson H. has 5 unassisted tackles, including 2 tackles for loss. Dylan S. had a great solo tackle, and Nicholas M., Nick S., and Hayden W. played a solid game at linebacker. JP R. got in on the action at free safety.
This team is off to the best start in the history of Shorecrest Middle School football, with a combined 142 points scored and 0 points allowed. The team's average score after 3 games is 47-0.
Up next: an away game against Seffner Christian on Thursday 9/26 at 5pm. The Chargers will look to move to 4-0 on the season.
