Introducing the Doris and Donna Friendship Fund

Advancement

Shorecrest is proud to announce the creation of the Doris and Donna Friendship Fund, supporting the opportunity for a full, four-year scholarship for a deserving student.

Founded by Shorecrest alumni and current parents Tara (Lilly) ‘96 and Cory Gaffney ‘95, the Doris and Donna Friendship Fund was given and named in honor of their mothers who, through meeting at Shorecrest, formed a deep and lasting friendship and modeled commitment to the School, their families, and their community.

“We have been very fortunate that our families were generously able to provide us a Shorecrest education and further so that our children now have that opportunity as well. Many in our community are not afforded this privilege. The hope for the impact of our support is to not only provide for Shorecrest’s need to finish Charger Commons, but also to affirm our shared commitment to diversity and inclusion and provide an opportunity for a new student to the Upper School through financial aid,” shared Cory. “As alumni and as current Charger parents, we know first-hand the quality of a Shorecrest education. This fund will allow a deserving student the opportunity of a life-changing experience."

Like its namesake, the Friendship Fund seeks to honor our wider community connection by enabling a Shorecrest education to families that might not be able to afford it. To learn more contact Michael Gillis at [email protected].
