March 26, 2015
The eighth graders participated as student judges for the 2015 Ocean 180 Video Challenge over the last few months. To participate in the competition, scientists from different parts of the world were asked to create a video abstract that is no greater than 180 seconds long with the target population being middle school students.
Our 8th graders were amongst the 37,795 students from 1,630 classrooms across 21 countries that participated in judging the 10 final video abstracts. If you are interested in seeing some of these videos, please click the following links:

This is our second year participating as student judges for this competition. It has been a really neat experience for our students and they enjoy being asked for their constructive opinions.
