Shorecrest is hosting Relay For Life for the American Cancer Society on Friday, May 1, 2015. It is a day that our community joins together to celebrate cancer survivors, to remember lost loved ones and to raise awareness of the disease with the hope to find a cure one day.
All of us have been touched by cancer directly or indirectly. This year’s Relay has a very special meaning because one of our own students was recently affected by cancer. Students and faculty have worn purple the week of April 28 - May 1 to help promote cancer awareness.
Raising money to fund cancer research and find a cure is the goal for Relay For Life. If you are new to Shorecrest, I encourage you to come and take part in this meaningful event. Remember, it wil be sunny! Bring hats (that cover face, head and neck), sunglasses, sunscreen cream (with SPF 30 or higher and reapply every 2 hours) and money to purchase water and other goodies.
See you at Relay!
