Thespians Meet Broadway's Sutton Foster

A group of MS and US Thespians enjoyed a cabaret style evening with Tony award winning Broadway star Sutton Foster at Straz Center last week. You may also know her work on the TV shows "Bunheads" and "Younger". 

Although a couple of our recent grads have met with Sutton in NYC after being compared to her numerous times, it's Mrs. Datillo's personal relationship with the star that made a magical moment happen. After the stage and theatre had cleared for the night, Ms. Foster came back for a quick meet and greet with Shorecrest students. They took a few selfies and told Ms. Foster about the MS production of Shrek (Sutton originated the role of Fiona on Broadway). Soon she admitted she had a 4am ride to the airport and needed to get to bed. They so appreciated their time with her! It's probably not often that the fans she's surrounded by have an average age of 14.
