Project Linus Shares Warmth and Snuggles

Upper School News

A group of 18 Interact Service Club members met at school on Sunday, Jan 17, to make fleece blankets for patients of All Children's Hospital as part of their annual Project Linus Day. From 10 am - 1:30pm, they sat in pairs on the floor and marked, cut and tied knots all the way around the material to make soft, cuddly and cute blankets for the young patients. Afterwards, the students all enjoyed some pizza from Shorecrest Business Partner, Westshore Pizza. Rotary member Dr. Randy Swanson joined us for the special event.

Interact members raised the $350 needed to purchase supplies from car washes and concession sales during Homecoming Powder Puff Games.

On Wednesday, Feb 3, Committee Head Jordan J and Charlotte L delivered the 24 blankets to All Children's (pictured). They were warmly received and the Head of the Child Life Department, Diana McCartney, expressed her sincere thanks to the Shorecrest Interact Club.
