A Tai Chi Lesson

Fifth graders had a special P.E. lesson this week. Hong Gu, Assistant Professor of Chinese at Eckerd College and Tai Chi instructor, visited and taught the students about Tai Chi. They learned about breath work, stretching and a bit of Tia Chi form. This graceful martial art is practiced slowly and calmly to keep the body relaxed.
The students were amazed at Mr. Gu's flexibility and gave great feedback about the lesson they received and the energy they felt afterwards.
