Shorecrest School

Celebrate the Arts 2020

Arts

Art instruction is interwoven throughout the Shorecrest curriculum. To celebrate the lessons and skills taught all year, we open the campus to the community each spring during Celebrate the Arts Week.

This year, while our students were quarantined, artists visited through webinars and videos. Community members with careers in animation, writing, painting, photography, dance and more shared their talents and created experiential opportunities for Shorecrest students.
Middle Schoolers also had a recycled art challenge and created Earth Day- themed art.

Lower School had visiting artist in May.

Student artwork is typically on display around campus, with a juried art show for grades 5-8 around Middle School and for grades 9-12 in the Student Activity Center and Janet Root Theatre Lobby. For 2020, student art galleries are shared online, here. Enjoy!
