Varsity Volleyball Chargers at the Keswick Invitational

The Shorecrest Varsity Volleyball Chargers played in the 37th annual Keswick Invitational on September 17 and 18.
The Chargers were 3-0 on day one of the tournament with a nice team effort vs. St Pete Catholic, Delphi, and Cambridge Christian. Scores were: 2-0(25-9, 25-20), 2-0 (25-17, 25-17), 2-0 (25-14, 25-18)
Playing vs. St Pete Catholic, Bella Hursey '24 had 8 Kills on 11 attempts for a .727 hitting %. Maria Happ '24 had 9 kills, hit .333. Brooke Waldmann '22 finished with 20 assists.
Playing vs. Delphi, Kate Craig '24 had 5 Aces, Brooke Waldmann '22 had 18 assists, Ashli McKenny '22 & Maria Happ '24 had 8 kills each.
Playing vs. Cambridge Christian, Maria Happ '24 had 7 kills and 10 digs.
Next the Chargers played Oak Hall and Northside Christian. Scores were: 1-2 (24-26, 25-15, 13-15), 2-0 (25-15, 25-17)
Playing vs. Oak Hall, Brooke Waldmann '22 had 3 Aces and 27 assists. Maria Happ '24 had 6 blocks and 15 kills yielding a .324 hitting %. Jessica Rosenblum '22 had a .600 hitting % and 4 blocks. Kate Craig '24 had 12 digs.
Playing vs. Northside Christian, Brooke Waldmann '22 had 24 assists. Maria Happ '24 had 14 kills, a .590 hitting % and 7 digs.
In the end, the Chargers took 3rd place out of 16 teams, and went 4-1 on the weekend. Congratulations to Bella Hursey '24 and Maria Happ '24 who were both named to the All Tournament Team!
