Volleyball Weekly Update

MS Gold Volleyball vs. Pinellas Prep: 18-25, 25-23, 8-15 Loss
In what was their most exciting game of the season, the MS Gold Volleyball Chargers took to the court and were pumped for a rematch against Pinellas Prep. The serving was on-point and every rally was earned. "The girls worked together and hustled after the ball. Although the final score didn't go our way, it was the best played match so far. The energy in the Crisp Gym was palpable." said Coach Dougherty.
Highlights of the game include serving by Jesse D. '28 and Mika S. '27, leadership from Kodee P. '27, off the ball movement by Emma B. '28 and Emma M. '26, and passing by Rhys W. '28, Addie R. '28 and Sofia C. '28! Great job, Gold team!
MS Green Volleyball vs. Pinellas Prep: 19-25 / 18-25
MS Gold Volleyball vs. St. Pete Christian: 14-25, 25-14, 15-9 Win!
In their final game of the season the MS Gold Volleyball Chargers traveled to St. Pete Christian for their second match-up of the season. Having beat SPC earlier in the season in a very tight match, they knew this game would be a tough one. The Chargers started out flat and couldn't find their rhythm. Communication errors led to a 14-25 loss in the first set. However this initial loss lit a fire in the team! The girls pulled themselves together and dominated the second set, 25-14. The third set was 15-9.
Serving by Anne G. '27, passing from Sada G. '28, and crucial touches from Kodee P. '27 led to the victory. Teamwork, hustle and communication were their secret to success. Congratulations on a great season, Chargers!
Varsity Volleyball vs. Tampa Catholic High School: 0-3 (23-25, 23-25, 21-25)
Brooke Waldmann '22 had 30 assists, 9 digs. Maria Happ '24 had 13 kills, 13 digs, 2 aces, 2 blocks. Ashli McKenny '22 had 14 kills, 9 digs, 3 aces. Kate Craig '24 had 21 digs.
JV Volleyball vs. Tampa Catholic: 0-2 (13-25, 15-25)
Christina Satterfield '25 had 5 kills, 8 digs. Paislee Maddox '25 had 9 assists, 3 digs. Gia B. '26 had 6 digs, 3 assists.
