Pinellas History Day was held February 25 and 26 at Largo High School. This year’s theme was Debate and Diplomacy in History.
Shorecrest’s Middle School was represented by 15 seventh graders and their projects at the annual competition.

Lili and Cam have been invited to move on to compete in the Florida State History Day competition from May 1-3 in Tallahassee.

2nd Place Group Exhibit - Miles Lucas ‘23, Taylor Register ‘23. “From Hawa’i to Hawaii: Debate and Diplomacy and it’s use in the founding of the 50th State”
1st Place Group Website - Jacob Mandell ‘23, Matthew White ‘23, Dylan Winer ‘23. “Debate, Diplomacy and the Avoidance of Nuclear Armageddon: The 1956 Suez Crisis.”
3rd Place Paper Category - Story Pennock ‘24. “A Tale of Two Treaties: The Congress of Vienna and the Treaty of Versailles.”
First and Second place winners advance to the State competition in May. Third place awardees may be alternates.
