Chargers Alumna Lily Schneider ’19 became a certified Personal Trainer while studying for her Health Sciences degree at University of South Florida. Lily recently visited Mrs. Peck’s Anatomy class to talk about the importance of muscle development and exercise.
Lily described three scenarios with personal training clients, and explained their specific goals and limitations and the programs she developed for each of them. She shared the importance of stretching and recovery. In the Shorecrest Athletic Center weight room she demonstrated how to use body weight, bands, free weights and machines to exercise different muscle groups.
Students were then asked to make videos of themselves performing the exercises Lily demonstrated.
Students were impressed by how much Lily was able to teach them, and all of the ways she suggested of using the weights and machines.
Congratulations to Lily for graduating from USF this month with a Bachelor of Science! After graduation Lily will be hiring healthcare workers for Sunbelt Staffing, LLC.
