The Chargers played a very competitive match against the 2022 FHSAA State Champions. Kate Craig '24 had 1 ace, 2 assists, and 19 digs. Bella Hursey '24 had 6 kills. Maria Happ '24 had 7 kills, 3 blocks, 8 assists, 2 digs.
Shorecrest Chargers JV Volleyball vs. CCC: 18-25, 22-24 Loss.
The Chargers played a tough match against CCC on September 27. After a stellar past week with 3 wins against Calvary, Seminole, and ODA, the Chargers were surprisingly slower in this match. They struggled in their serve receive and offensive game in the beginning of the first set. It did not last long and the Chargers were able to make a comeback with the help of some serving aces by Riley J. '28 and Indiana Wells '27. They both recorded 2 aces for the match.
The Chargers came out with some more passion and fire in the second set. CCC started sending over a lot of free balls that the Chargers turned into kills. Emma S. '28 recorded 7 kills for the match and Indiana Wells '27 recorded 2 kills for the match. The Chargers fought until the end but unfortunately CCC took the lead in the second set and won the game. Overall it was an incredible fight by the Chargers.
