The Varsity Football Shorecrest Chargers snuck past Master's Academy with a 26-22 victory at the Florida State Championship. This was the team's third consecutive Championship win! Shorecrest Prep's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. The win bumped their record up to 12-0.

The Chargers faced their toughest opponent in the 2023 State Championship game and remained steadfast throughout the contest. The game was a true contrast in styles as Masters Academy accumulated 295 yards in the air, and Shorecrest dominated on the ground with 397 rushing yards.

The first half was highlighted by a 75-yard touchdown run by Edward Mitchem '25 and a 71-yard touchdown run by Nickolas Bearden '25. The team trailed at halftime for the first time this season, but took the lead with a dominant third quarter performance by the defense, led by a timely interception by Tylan Huff '27 to set up the only score in the 3rd quarter. Trailing by 3 points with 4:35 remaining in the game, the offense took over at its own 15 yard line and drove 85 yards for the winning touchdown!
