On April 29, the Shorecrest Chargers Varsity Baseball team beat Admiral Farragut 15-0 in the District Quarterfinals!
The Chargers dominated in their district quarterfinal game winning 15-0 in 4 innings. Ed Sax ‘27 pitched 3 scoreless innings with 6 strikeouts and Luke Lavoie ‘26 pitched the final inning of the shut out. Cooper Phillips ‘24 and Kyle G ‘28 led the offense with 2 hits, and Beau LeCain ‘27 had a double. Also collecting hits were Jake Diner ‘25, Chris Booth ‘25, Cooper Register ‘25, and Jamie V ‘28.
On April 30, the Shorecrest Chargers Varsity Baseball team beat Canterbury 11-0 in the District Semifinals!
Three Shorecrest pitchers combined to throw a no-hit shutout against Canterbury. Jake Diner ‘25 and Luke Lavoie ‘26 threw two innings each with Beau LeCain ‘27 pitching the final inning. Chargers collected 14 hits over 4 innings. Four Chargers batters had multiple hits for the day including Eli Thomas ‘25 (3/3 with a triple), Jake Diner ‘25 (2/2 with a home run), Chris Booth ‘25 (2/2,) and Kyle G ‘28 (2/2). Also collecting hits were Cooper Phillips ‘24 (a double), Wes Ryan ‘25, Cooper Register ‘25, Carson Granese ‘25, and Ed Sax ‘27. The defense didn’t commit a single error.
The District Final game will be Thursday, May 2 at Northside Christian School.
