Varsity Golfers Charged Up at State Championships

Athletics Upper School News

Sofia Lee '27 represented Shorecrest Chargers Varsity Girls Golf at the State Championship with a score of 162 overall (+10 each day). Sofia played consistently with her usual terms of play. "The experience she received playing at the State tournament will give her the confidence and experience needed for continued growth," said Coach Asad.

Clark Mason '26 represented Chargers Varsity Boys Golf at the State Championship with flying colors (Green & Gold!) with 148 in 36 holes. He placed 16th in the state. His fierce determination allowed him to navigate the Mission Hills golf course successfully on two consecutive days of fierce competition. Colloquially known as "Mission Impossible" for its difficulty, the course was even harsher as the winds moved balls in ludicrous directions while midair. This assail from nature did not deter Clark's unshakable faith, and he delivered, hole after hole, a "charged" performance.
