It takes a team effort to finish 12th overall at the 1A State Meet, and all of the Chargers worked together to accomplish this great result for the Varsity girls team!
On November 15, everyone present at the meet witnessed an incredible State Championship performance by Sarah Lankford '22 - 1st place in the 200 Free (1:49.21) and 3rd place in the 500 Free (4:55.36). These times broke her own school records in both events. Sasha Schratwieser '24 finished 18th in the 100 Free. The girls 200 Free Relay (Sasha Schratwieser '24, Devyn Kropf '22, Shannon Ross '21 & Sarah Lankford '22) finished 9th, and the 400 Free with the same personnel finished 13th.
The Varsity Boys placed 21st out of 33 teams. This was an incredible team effort and just about every swimmer posted best times for the season.
Evan Hoefer '21 qualified for the consolation finals in both of his events (50 Free and 100 Free). He finished 12th in the 50 Free (22.16) and tied for 11th place in the 100 Free (48.14). These were personal best times for him. The boys 200 Medley Relay staffed by Duncan Walsh '22, Spencer Mendelsohn '21, Evan Hoefer '21 and Brendan Fraher '23 placed 14th; and the 400 Free Relay with the same personnel was 13th.
