Eighth Graders Collect Weather Data

The 8th graders were able to collect data using weather sensors and their iPads this week. The goal was to determine how humidity and temperature differ when the sensor was exposed to different levels of sunlight. The use of the sensors will allow them to collect precise data in a short period of time. The sensors will be used in the classroom and also as part of the Coastal Awareness Program for water quality testing.
As they continue to collect data, their analysis skills should improve as well as their ability to explain how and why their data may vary.
