Seventh Grade Visits the Dali Museum

Middle School News

Seventh graders learned many new interesting facts about Dali on their visit to the Dali Museum.
  • Daddy-longlegs were good luck when seen in the evening
  • Crutches, ants, flies and Gala were repeated images found in his paintings
  • He painted a lot of paintings about the effects of war, religion and his youth
Their favorite painting was "Gala Contemplating the Mediterranean Sea Which at Twenty Meters Becomes the Portrait of Abraham Lincoln". They were fascinated by the size and double images found in the painting.

The docents were great, and we would like to thank Janet Root for setting up the experience.
