The kindergartners are well into an in depth study of quilts. We had Lori Patterson, Jackson C's grandmother, visit kindergarten and share her expertise on making quilts. She discussed how quilts have a pattern and a theme. The children had the opportunity to see how a quilt is constructed and the different layers of a quilt. They were so excited to see the quilts she has made and are in the process of making right now. They also liked hearing the themes or names of her quilts.
