2015 MathCounts Competition

Eight students traveled to Saint Petersburg College this past Saturday to compete in the 2015 MathCounts competition. This was the first time Shorecrest had been represented in close to a decade. Despite having one of the youngest teams there, the students performed respectably, finishing 9th out of 13 teams. Our top two performers were seventh graders Kyle W and Matthew D, finishing 17th and 26th, respectively, out of 100 participants. The other students who went were eighth grader Zachary O, seventh grader Sophia V, and sixth graders Raj S, Jonathan C, Lane E, and Matthew L.
