Design Thinking in the Lower School [Video]

Upper School News

SCA sponsored a parent session about Design Thinking on Tuesday, October 16. A video of the presentation is below.

Are you curious about what Design Thinking is and how it relates to curriculum at Shorecrest? Dominique Craft, Experiential and Lower School Curriculum Dean, presented on Design Thinking in the Lower School. She addressed how design thinking - as a form of inquiry - fosters creativity, empathy, problem solving, and critical thinking. She modeled what a design thinking challenge might look like, and addressed how design thinking fits into the larger scope of project work in the Lower School.
