Shorecrest eighth graders celebrated the culmination of Hispanic Heritage Month with the presentation of their Language and Culture Exploration projects. The Chargers enthusiastically enjoyed listening to research about different countries and holidays, listening to music, and learning to dance salsa, merengue, cueca and flamenco. They also enjoyed tasting ethnic foods such as tres leches, flan, alfajores, paella, and even the breaking of hand-made piñatas.
Señora Miller shared that activities like these help the Chargers acquire the Spanish language by getting to know the culture behind the language.
