VEX Robotics Team 6104G Earns Bid to National Tournament 

Upper School News


After weeks of preparation, Shorecrest's three Upper School VEX Robotics teams participated in their first competition of the season, Carrollwood Clash, on Saturday, November 16 at Carrollwood Day School in Tampa. Teams 6104B, Cyclone, and 6104G, Tempest, advanced to the semi-final round. Team 6104G won the judged Design Award, which recognizes an organized and professional approach to the Engineering Design Process, project and time management, and team organization. 

Team 6104G, Tempest, earned an invitation to the 2025 CREATE U.S. Open Robotics Tournament in Iowa in March 2025. This is the fourth consecutive year a Shorecrest team has been invited to this national tournament for their outstanding robot design!

All three Shorecrest VEX teams will be competing at the PHSC Bobcat Robotics Rumble Rama in Pasco and ROBOTICON Rumble 2024 in Tampa in December.
