Chargers Swim & Dive Wins District Meet

Congratulations to Shorecrest Swim & Dive on winning both the girls and boys 1A-8 District Championship Meet. The winning streak continued for the fourteenth consecutive year!
On the boys side, Caleb Kravitz '20 made his mark with double wins in his events (200 IM and 500 Free) and set a brand new school record time in the 500 of 4:31.24. This record has stood since 1993. Also finishing as District Champion was Dominic Hoefer '19 in the diving portion of the meet. The boys 200 Medley Relay finished in first place with Misha Muskepo '20, David Sartania '20, Caleb Kravitz '20 and Joseph Brockman '20 getting the automatic bid for the upcoming Region Meet.
The girls were dominating in their win, leading the way with first place finishes in all three relays. Staffing the 200 Medley was Emery Camp '20, Ainsley B '23, Taylor Emerson '19 and Sarah Lankford '22 The 200 Free personnel were Claire E '23, Shannon Ross '22, Ainsley B '23 and Reagan Quilty '19. Taylor Emerson '19, Claire E '23, Emery Camp '20 and Sarah Lankford '22 handled the 400.
Sarah Lankford '22 won both the 200 and 500 Freestyle individual events. Taylor Emerson '19 took a District Championship in the 100 Fly, while Sophie Elwyn '19 won the District Championship for diving.
A number of athletes earned the opportunity to compete in the upcoming 1A-3 Region Championship Meet. For the boys, the list includes Chase Andrews '20, Jeremy B '23, Joseph Brockman '20, Carlos Gonzalez '20, Kieran Herlihy '22, Dominic Hoefer '19, Evan Hoefer '21, Caleb Kravitz '20, Michael Longino '20, Misha Muskepo '20, David Sartania '20, Duncan Walsh '22 and Tanner Williams '19.
The female athletes who will compete at the Region Championship meet are Ainsley B '23, Emery Camp '20, Brenna Dukes '21, Sophie Elwyn '19, Claire E '23, Taylor Emerson '19, Devyn Kropf '22, Sarah Lankford '22, Sarah Miller '19, Stella Pagano '22, Reagan Quilty '19, Shannon Ross '21, Kate R '24 and Mariyah S '23.
