Paper Relief Sculptures

Shorecrest seventh and eighth graders taking 3D Art finished a paper relief sculptures project. They studied the works of Olga Skorokhod, a Ukrainian Artist who primarily works with paper to create “monochromatic high textured artworks, and cutting by hand was a form of healing meditation for her.”
Students explored rhythm, shape, form, texture and space to create three dimensional pieces out of a two dimensional medium. Their fantastic pieces are on display now in the Middle School Center for Arts and Sciences!
