Students looked at cells from different domains and kingdoms. They compared the size of eukaryotic cells from the plant and animal kingdoms. Students created their own slides of their cheek cells, but also looked at preserved slides of red blood cells and onion root cells where they looked at the stages of mitosis, and protists, like diatoms and ceratium.
Students are also learning how to use compound light microscopes to capture some cool pictures of their work.
